Fashion Show

Playful event to pair with fashion companies

This event can happen in a variety of ways. Rescues could pair with a local fashion designer or boutique(s) that want to get their clothes seen and enjoy supporting great causes. You could pair with a home economics course for them to showcase their final works or a university with a fashion major. The event could pair with drag queens and be a LGBTQ friendly event. You could pair with a secondhand store so they can show off their great recycled items. Whichever you choose, you'll want to bring animals that don't mind large crowds and attention. Bring a variety of hats, accessories, and clothes for the animals to wear on the "runway". To make money for your rescue off this event you could charge an entry fee, raffle outfits, create a photo backdrop with props where a rescue employee takes photos of participants for a donation, or pair with a restaurant (must have pet friendly space) and ask them to donate of their sales that day to the rescue.

Fashion for Paws in D.C.

It’s fun, it’s lighthearted and heartwarming event that sells tickets to raise money for local rescues. It inspires people to help with animal rescues and adopt a pet. Many of the rescued dogs that walk the fashion runway are available for adoption.

NY PET Fashion Week

The largest pet fashion and animal rescue benefit in the country happens at the historic Hotel Pennsylvania in Midtown Manhattan, kicking off New York Fashion Week and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show every February.
The show features themed costume runway shows with attendees' dogs (and other pets) walking the catwalk along with rescue dogs looking for homes.

Pet Fashion Prject, CA

The fashion show allows adoptable dogs and cats of all sizes taking over the catwalk. Attendees have a chance to adopt the animals on the runway. The fashion show is a fun experience for both the animals and audience and is done with style. The event benefits five LA based rescues.
